Shikaari

At the end of November, I had the opportunity to take pictures for an all-female bollywood fusion dance team from my alma mater, the University of Georgia. We headed over to Atlanta and found an empty space with an urban vibe. The area had perfect lighting! Although the sun was very bright that day, the covered area we were in had a roof that kind of acted like a diffuser so it was perfect!

Yashu 2

This past weekend, I was able to photograph my friend Yashu again. However this time she was wearing a saree, a traditional Indian dress. After looking at different pictures for inspiration we headed to the botanical gardens to shoot! It was a super fun experience and the pictures turned out great. Lucky for me, Yashu knows how to pose!

Yashu

My friend and I did an impromptu photoshoot over at a local park which also houses rehabilitated wild animals! The fall colors were absolutely beautiful and along with a sun created a beautiful warm yellowish orange glow in her pictures.

Tybee

After a successful graduation from the University of Georgia, my family and I traveled to Tybee Island. This island is located about 10 miles from Savannah, GA on the east coast of the United States. To shoot this shot, I used a canon EF-S 10-18 mm f/4.5-5.6 lens that I use a lot when I travel to capture landscapes and scenes that I want to have a “wide-angle vibe”. It was a great weekend of relaxation, and a great way to end the semester.

All that’s left to say is, Go dawgs!

Camelia

After a long week, I ordered a new lens for my Canon EOS Rebel SL1. This new lens, a 50 mm prime lens with f/number of f/1.8, is beautiful for taking portraits, close ups, and landscape shots with a focus on certain elements of the landscape. This lens gives a beautiful bokeh effect and has a very clear image quality. I am super excited to start using it for portraits; I’ve already got a few sessions scheduled!

I took this shot while walking around University of Georgia’s north campus with my good friend Gabri. We were wandering around and ended up finding a little art studio and stopping at the local brewery. Needless to say, it was a good weekend!
